Claypool Discusses Removal Of Trees, Mosquito Spraying

The Town of Claypool will block off Calhoun Street from Graceland Avenue to Church Street this Friday through Sunday in order for Paul Berkey to remove six trees. Earlier this week, the Town Council unanimously approved $8,350 for a new mosquito sprayer, which has been ordered.

The council also discussed the possibility of creating two new ordinances. Board President Niki Miller suggested an ordinance to prevent residents from leaving trash cans by the street for the entire week. Also, the town marshal has received complaints about people riding ATVs in town, so he will research wording for a possible town ordinance. The council will hold an administration meeting at the Town Barn at 5 p.m. today to discuss the town’s budget for 2017.
