Pierceton man arrested for exposing himself to random women

Charging documents were released yesterday by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office regarding a Pierceton man that was arrested for inappropriately exposing himself to a female victim last month.

On November 15, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in the Chapman Lake area regarding a male that had exposed himself to a woman he had followed home.

The victim told police she was driving home and noticed a car following her for several miles. When she pulled into her driveway the car pulled in behind her.  Initially, she thought the driver was lost and going to ask for directions. She approached the car and the male driver was completely naked and fondling himself.  She yelled at him and he looked at her and said, “what?”.

The victim called for her husband, who was close by outside and the suspect drove away. She ran after the car and got his license plate number, which she gave to police.

The car came back registered to a home in Pierceton. Pierceton police were contacted and an officer located the vehicle on US 30 in the area of Arnolt Drive, as it approached the Pierceton area. The Pierceton officer and a Winona Lake officer conducted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle.

The driver was identified as Austin Frush, 22, of Pierceton.  When pulled over, Frush had no shirt on, his pants were undone and his shoes were off.  Officers sent a picture of Frush to the victim and she identified him as the same male that had followed her home.

Kosciusko County deputies arrived, read Frush his Miranda rights and conducted a roadside interview. During the interview, Frush said he didn’t know the woman, but saw her when she was driving and “she looked good,” so he decided to follow her. He also admitted to exposing himself when the victim approached the vehicle.

Frush also admitted to police this was not the first time that he picked a female at random, followed them home, and exposed himself to them.

Frush was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on November 15 on charges of indecent exposure with a $450 bond. He has since bonded out.
