Rovenstine & Soto’s Initial Hearings Waived

Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine and Grace College Professor Mark Soto won’t be in court this morning, after motions to waive the initial hearing were filed by the men’s attorneys. Both men were scheduled to appear in the Kosciusko Circuit Court at 8:30 this morning for initial hearings, after being indicted by a grand jury.

Rovenstine was indicted on 10 felony charges, including bribery, intimidation and official misconduct. Soto was indicted on three charges of corrupt business influence and three counts of intimidation. The next step in the process will be pre-trials for the men. The date for those trials is still unknown.
