Groundbreaking for Magical Meadows expansion on Wednesday

News Release

WARSAW — The Magical Meadows will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its Growing with Heart Capital Campaign and Expansion Project next week, marking a significant milestone for the therapeutic horseback riding center.

The ceremony on Sept. 24th at 10 a.m. will include staff, board members, and volunteers, joined by several key funders, including K21 Health Foundation and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. Construction contractors and project architects and engineers from MSKTD & Associates will also be present, along with Sheriff Jim Smith, Magical Meadows riders and families, and other community leaders.

The expansion project includes the construction of two new 70’ x 200’ indoor riding arenas that will increase capacity, improve accessibility, and allow year-round programming. One building will focus on expanding services for individuals with disabilities and at-risk youth, while the other arena will be dedicated to serving veterans and first-responders through the organization’s Warriors Mount Up program.

“The start of this project is a moment that Miss Tammy, Cowboy Carl, our board of directors, and many of the families we serve have dreamed about for years,” said Michael Kuhn, The Magical Meadows Executive Director. “Not only will this project help us transform the lives of the people we serve, but it will also transform our community in ways that will soon go from dreams to reality.”

The ceremony comes as The Magical Meadows has secured over $1.2 million toward its $2 million campaign goal. While the organization continues to seek additional funding to complete the project, leaders say they are confident in the strong community support received to date and are ready to move forward with the construction process.

“None of this would be possible without the steadfast support of our donors, volunteers, staff, and families,” said Kuhn. “That continued support will be more important than ever as we keep pushing for the finish line on this project.”
