26th Honor Flight takes veterans to D.C. memorials

Another Honor Flight will be taking off from Fort Wayne on Wednesday.

The 26th Northeast Indiana Honor Flight will be taking 85 veterans from Fort Wayne to D.C.

Of those taking the trip, 16 are World War II vets, 65 Korea, and 45 Vietnam. The honor flights aim to honor veterans by arranging and funding flights to reflect at their memorials.

Those who wish to welcome them home from their journey can do so at the Fort Wayne International Airport Main Terminal around 8:30 p.m.

3,800 people welcomed veterans home from the last honor flight on September 27.
