Big day in Winona Lake for skate rink, winter market and holiday fun

WINONA LAKE — Three events will kick off the Christmas holiday today in Winona Lake.

Ice skating season begins at noon at Miller Sunet Pavilion. See the poster at the bottom of this story for more details. (A free skate day and other holiday fun is scheduled for Dec. 6).

Also on Saturday, the Winona Lake Winter Farmers Market will open and will take place on select Saturdays and continue on December 13, January 10, and February 14.

The market runs from noon to 3 p.m. at the Miller Sunset Pavilion

Here is the lineup for Christmas activities set for Saturday, Nov. 22:

3:30 – 6:30 p.m. — Toys for Tots Collection, Kids’ Ornament Making (Brick Alley Pavilion), Train Rides for All Ages (Letterwood brick paver parking lot), Christmas Carolers throughout The Village.

5:30-6:15 p.m.  —Free Cookies & Hot Chocolate, Santa Claus

6:15 p.m. — Tree Lighting Ceremony (Village Christmas Tree next to Letterwood)

Admission into the event, please bring a new and unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots.
