As state regulators look into NIPSCO’s response to the massive power outage caused by 100-mile-per-hour straight-line winds earlier this month, the power company says they are taking new steps to help people recover.
NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation say they are offering support for customers and communities through a combination of customer protections, financial assistance resources and a $2 million contribution to recovery efforts.
The funding will be administered through the Legacy Foundation, Porter County Community Foundation and Unity Foundation.
