Secular Settlement Dispute Over Marriage Ceremonies

The Center for Inquiry applauds a “settlement” in the dispute over marriage ceremonies performed by secular celebrants. But there appears to be a misunderstanding. The Indiana Attorney General‘s office says no settlement has been reached–that the U.S. District Court has issued an injunction, as ordered by the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, allowing CFI to performed weddings without being cited for an infraction. But a spokesman for the attorney general says an appeal to the US Supreme Court is still under consideration.
