Mishawaka man faces child pornography charges

A Mishawaka man is set for arraignment Tuesday on multiple charges connected to possession of child pornography and for alleged recording two videos of young boys using video chat programs.

It was back in March when detectives traced one of the pornographic images to an IP address connected to Matthew Ridenour. Earlier this month they were granted a search warrant.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office says police found hundreds of pieces of photo and video evidence on Ridenour’s iPhone and computer hard drives.

They also say Ridenour also confessed to downloading child porn from the internet.

He stands charged with two counts of child exploitation and six counts of possession of child pornography. He is booked in the St. Joseph County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
