Akron, while not able to do their usual Fourth of July festivities, will still be holding an “at home” event to celebrate the holiday.
Akron Chamber of Commerce officials, in a statement on Thursday, are asking residents and businesses in town to decorate their front yards, porches and store fronts for the Fourth of July.
A float of judges will parade through the town to award the BEST DECORATED Home & Business. The event will be live-streamed to the Akron 4th of July Facebook page from the judge’s float.
