Alleged murderer Amber Pasztor no stranger to the law

Amber Pasztor is in Elkhart County Jail Tuesday on murder charges after her two children who were found dead in her car.

Before being sought for kidnapping and murdering her 7-year old daughter Lillian Hernandez and 6-year-old son Rene Pasztor, their mother had active warrants out for her arrest, according to our partners in news at 21Alive.

She was wanted for violating a protective order for not complying with a previous sentence, stemming from an August conviction for criminal trespassing. She was ordered to a year in jail and 20 hours of community service.

A warrant was issued for her arrest on September 12 for not complying with the terms of her sentence. She did not show up for her court hearing Monday morning. Her appearance was scheduled for 8:30am, which is about two hours after she abducted her children.

In 2005, Pasztor was charged with underage consumption of alcohol. A year later, she was arrested again on felony charges of drunk driving and causing bodily injury.

Pasztor also faced two battery charges in 2009 and 2010. She had three separate charges of driving without ever receiving a license in 2011, 2014, and 2015.
