FORT WAYNE (Network Indiana) — Allen County will lift its mask mandate when the state does April 6.
In a news conference with Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry, Allen County Health Commissioner Dr. Matthew Sutter says the county has “come a long way since the virus surged over the winter” thanks to the vaccine.
He says masks will still need to be worn in government buildings and in schools, and individual businesses can still require masks if they want to.
That’s what the Fort Wayne Tincaps have decided to do — in the press conference, Tincaps President Mike Nutter said they’ll welcome baseball fans back to Parkview Field this season but masks and social distancing will still be enforced.
