Marshall County Dispatch says an alligator spotted in Plymouth has been caught.

Neighbors in Pilgrim Meadows who enjoy their community’s pond for fishing were surprised Tuesday when they instead saw an alligator.

It was reportedly a pet that got loose. Efforts were underway overnight to catch the nearly 3-foot-long animal.

Owning a pet alligator is not illegal in Indiana as long as its less than five feet.
