Combined Community Services’ Tools for School is returning in August to the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

The annual event will be held on Thursday, August 5th  from 9 AM until 3 PM and it will be back in its normal location and unlike 2020, it will be a walk-in process, not drive-thru.

Project Independence Case Manager and Hand-Up Case Manager Ami Pitt says this is the 26th year of the event and they are looking forward to having it back to what it was pre-pandemic.

She says the process of getting the supplies is very easy through a verbal questionnaire, which is used to plan for future years, then families can go through and get their supplies. In the past, families were able to pick out their supplies, but due to the pandemic last year, they were pre-bagged by grade level. Pitt says she is not sure if they will do that again.

After going through the supply line, families can head into the community resource room where different organizations will be on hand to give out helpful information and kids can even get a free haircut.

Warsaw Community Schools will also be on hand to provide breakfast for students in the morning starting at 7:30 AM.

CCS is taking donations for the event, which can come in the form of supplies or a monetary donation, which can be dropped off at their building on Mariners Drive.
