WARSAW — An architectural firm specializing in libraries has been selected by Warsaw Community Public Library for its extensive renovation plan.
Luminaut of Indianapolis was chosen, according to Library Director Heather Barron, because of its expertise in library designs.
Barron also announced she’ll present the library’s new feasibility study to members of the City Council on Feb. 18.
City Council serves as the library’s fiscal authority when it comes to financing through the use of bonds, which will be needed for the proposed extensive renovations.
“That’s part of why I’ll be going to present the feasibility study to them just to make sure they know everything that’s happening here. If they want more information, I’ll be more than happy to give it,” Barron said.
She’ll also talk about the increased traffic at the library.
“We’ve increased our number of cardholders, our visits to the library, meeting usage, program attendance, you name it,” Barron said. “It’s all increasing. We’re a stable here.”
