Arrest Made in North Webster Robbery, Search Still on for One Other

Jesse James Robertson – Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Detectives are attempting to locate Robertson.

Kosciusko County officers have arrested one of the two suspects allegedly involved in yesterday mornings armed robbery at a North Webster residence.

The Kosciusko County S.W.A.T. team and sheriff’s deputies located Daniel Joseph Edgar, 30, Topeka, Indiana, yesterday shortly after 4 p.m. inside a mobile home at 312 West Crystal Flash Road, North Webster, and took him into custody without incident.  Edgar was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony robbery with a deadly weapon.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Detectives stated that information was obtained during the investigation of yesterday’s armed robbery at 8915 East, County Road 500 North, North Webster, that provided probable cause to Edgar’s involvement. Detectives were able to locate items at the arrest scene that were from the original robbery location.  Edgar is currently being held on a $20,250 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Detectives are currently attempting to locate the alleged second suspect, Jesse James Roberson, 19, North Webster.  Roberson is described as being 5’08”, 135 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes.  Officers stated that Roberson is considered to be armed and dangerous.  Any information related to the whereabouts of Roberson can be called into the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department 24 hour TIP line at 574-372-2494, Michiana Crimestoppers at 1-800-342-STOP, or your local law enforcement agency.  Roberson has been known to frequent in Elkhart and Noble County, along with the northeast portion of Kosciusko County.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
