A vacant site in Goshen no longer is plagued with asbestos in its debris.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency took control of the property at 1302 E. Monroe St. The process of cleanup that started in August finished this week, according to ABC 57.
The site is the former home of Johnson Controls. An independent environmental report showed that there was asbestos in the debris.
Now that the EPA is finished, the property’s owner, TOCON Holdings LLC, can reclaim control of the property. It’s unknown what they have planned for the site.
