Athletic Director Hospitalized After Being Hit By Principal

A northeast Indiana high school athletic director remains hospitalized after being struck by a SUV driven by the school's principal. 43-year-old Steve Thompson has undergone multiple surgeries to relieve pressure on his brain after his head struck the pavement on Thursday. Police say the Principal, Steve Baker, was driving from the middle school to the high school after a meeting when Thomas tossed an athletic bag on the hood of Baker's vehicle in a “friendly exchange.” Baker swerved as Thompson stepped toward the vehicle, striking him.
