ATV Rider Arrested For Causing Injury In Crash

After being released from the hospital,  David Gregory was served an arrest warrant Wednesday night for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
On July 5 at 4:52 a.m., Gregory, 38, of 53 EMS D22 Lane, Syracuse, rolled his Polaris ATV down an embankment towards a gravel pit in Leesburg. The accident occurred at 76 W. CR 600N, Leesburg. 
Gregory and his passenger, Shyloh Hoy, both needed immediate medical attention after the accident as the two were thrown from the vehicle and it possibly landed on Hoy at some point durring the accident. The ATV stopped rolling by running into a tree. 
Both subjects appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, according to an accident report filed by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
Gregory sustained lacerations to the top of his head. Shoy, 34, East Prairie Street, Leesburg, suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung. Damages were estimated at $10,000 to $25,000. 
Gregory was arrested Wednesday night by KCSD and is being held on a $1,000 bond.
