August to be WRSW month as part of 70th anniversary celebration

Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer will be proclaiming August as WRSW month. It’s part of the celebration of 107.3 WRSW’s 70th anniversary.

The proclamation will be formally announced Saturday during a block party in city hall plaza. The event celebrates the station’s 70-year impact on the community, after being on the air for the first time on August 11, 1948.

Other festivities at the WRSW 70th Anniversary Block Party include live music, food trucks, face painting, and a commemorative T-shirt giveaway.

It takes place from 12-4 p.m.
