The Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County is getting ready to open the doors to their new facility.

The new shelter, located on the other side of US 30 from their old location, will host a grand opening Saturday morning at 11 AM. During the celebration, visitors can enjoy family fun, an on-site garage sale, vendor access, food trucks and reduced adoption fees. An official proclamation will also be given by Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer, along with a ribbon cutting.

Executive Director Katey Zeman with the AWL says the new facility is a complete upgrade from their old building. Employees and volunteers alike have their own work space, expanded holding areas for both dogs and cats, cuddle rooms for prospective people looking to adopt, and the most unique room, a silo for cats to move about and play.

You can find more information about the new facility on the AWL’s Facebook page.
