For the second time in a matter of five months, a baby has been dropped off at a Safe Haven Box in northern Indiana.

A newborn girl was left at the Michigan City baby box in November of 2017 and later adopted. That case was the first time a baby had been put in a baby box since the installation in 2016.

The box in LaPorte County is one of only a few like it in the country.

The child dropped off on Sunday evening was taken to Franciscan St. Anthony Health.
