Ban Lifted For Alcohol Sales On Christmas Day

The ban on Sunday alcohol sales is still in place in Indiana, but Hoosiers looking to purchase spirits on Christmas will be able to do so this year. Effective July 1, the ban of alcohol sales on Christmas will be removed. House Bill 1542, which Gov. Mike Pence signed, lifts the ban that made it illegal to sell alcohol between 3 am. on Christmas Day and 7 am on December 26. Should Christmas fall on a Sunday, the Sunday sales ban would be in order.
