Bar Fight Ends In Hospitalization, Arrest

A February fight at Timeout Inn in Warsaw resulted in one battery arrest.
Donald R. Barton II, 26, of 403 N. Front St., Syracuse, was arrested Friday night for battery causing serious bodily injury, a level 5 felony.
On Feb. 14, Warsaw Police Department responded to a fight at Timeout at 2:30 a.m. Police spoke with one victim, a bouncer for Timeout, who was bleeding from his nose.
According to the probable cause affidavit provided by Kosciusko County prosecutors, the bouncer asked Barton’s father to leave as he was bothering a female customer. At this point, Barton punched the bouncer in the face.
The bouncer escorted Barton and his father to the parking lot, when he was hit several more times by Barton before falling to the ground. He was then kicked in the face by a woman who was with Barton.
Another victim was involved in the fight between the bouncer and Barton. This victim was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital and then Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne with a broken jaw. Barton had struck him multiple times in the face.
Barton was booked into Kosciusko County Jail with a $10,250 bond.
