Big Brothers Big Sisters “Bowl For Kid’s Sake” Happening In March

Big Brothers Big Sisters invites the community to participate in its largest fundraiser of the year – Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
According to an organization press release, dates and times fill up quickly, so contact Big Brothers Big Sisters soon to reserve a date and time. Kosciusko/Whitley County Bowl for Kids’ Sake will be on two dates this year to accommodate schedules, both at The Bowling Alley, 1535 N. Detroit St. The event is March 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. and  March 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake is an event where anyone in the community can take part.  All of the funds raised go directly to helping match a local child in need with a mentor.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for “Team Captains” to get themselves and five other friends, family members or co-workers to form a team of six. The Team Captain will then work with Big Brothers Big Sisters to reserve a date and time to bowl, and then encourage team members to raise pledges and then show up on the bowling celebration date to enjoy free bowling, free snacks, free refreshments and door prizes.
Each team member is encouraged to raise $100 or more in pledges, and incentive prizes will be awarded to those who raise more. Depending on the amount raised, prizes range from T-shirts, Visa gift cards, urBeats, an Insignia 32” LED 720p TV or an iPad Mini. The grand prize package is an in-home gaming  system, including a Samsung 55” LED 1080p with Samsung Audiobar and an Xbox One.
