Big Brothers Big Sisters Lunch Buddy Program

Big Brothers Big Sisters recently launched the School Buddy Challenge by holding a call-a-thon hosted by Century Link. Ambassadors spent a day calling current School Buddies in an effort to get referrals to other people they know who demonstrate the qualities to be a good School Buddy to a child in need in Kosciusko County. Since schools are now in session, the need for positive role models has heightened as guidance counselors identify kids weekly who need a little extra help. The process includes an interview and background check, A School Buddy visits the child in the school for one hour a week during the school year over their lunch hour. Big Brothers Big Sisters has programs in schools in Pierceton, Lincoln, Harrison, Washington, Madison, Milford and Syracuse elementary schools.
