The investigation into the disappearance of Aaron Tracy Eckman, 20, Lapaz, IN, has to come to an end.
Around 9:20 p.m. on Friday, June 19, conservation officers from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources located Eckman’s body in the Tippecanoe River, according to a news release from the Indiana State Police.
The body was located approximately a mile from where he was believed to have fallen in the river, according to the news release.
Eckman was last seen around 2 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, near the 7900 block West Olson Road in Leiters Ford. He was reportedly visiting his girlfriend’s relatives.
Officers had been searching for Eckman after receiving information that he had possibly fallen into the river.
Criminal activity is not suspected.
