Bourbon Fire Dept. Gets New Pet Saving Equipment

The Bourbon Fire Department is getting some new equipment that will help them save family pets during residential fires.

First Responders will be getting a oxygen mask kit specifically designed for pets thanks to a donation from Project Breathe Program from Invisible Fence. The kits will allow fire fighters to give oxygen to pets who are pulled from burning homes.

Invisible Fence says over 150 animals have been saved using the mask, including a dog in Rochester last September. Bourbon joins major cities like Chicago, Seattle and Denver in having the kits at their disposal.
