The Indiana State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Kosciusko County during the evening hours of Friday, September 2, 2016. The checkpoint will run in conjunction with the Operation Pull Over Period Blitz #87, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”
The Indiana State Police has partnered with approximately 250 law enforcement agencies statewide for the annual Operation Pull Over campaign that began August 12th runs through September 5th.
Troopers from the Bremen Post will be conducting high visibility enforcement efforts including sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols looking for impaired drivers and unrestrained motorists.
Motorists are asked to have their driver’s license and vehicle registration available when entering a checkpoint. This will help minimize the amount of time spent at the checkpoint. Motorists can expect short delays of only two to three minutes.
The Indiana State Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving.
The public is encouraged to call 911 or the closest Indiana State Police Post when they observe another motorist that may be impaired. Be prepared to give a description of the vehicle, location and direction of travel.
