CDC says over 400 people sickened by parasite in McDonald’s salads

A parasite linked to McDonald’s salads has made over 400 people sick.

WNDU reports the fast food chain stopped selling salads at 3,000 restaurants in July due to the outbreak. Indiana restaurants were among those impacted by the recall.

The CDC says 20 people were hospitalized with an illness caused by the Cyclospora parasite.

Those sickened range in age from 14-91, and two-thirds of them are women.
