City Now Accepting Applications For Annual Deer Reduction Effort

Any archer interested in participating in the city of Warsaw deer reduction efforts for 2019 may apply, according to City Councilman and Deer Task Force Chair Jeff Grose.

Archers must complete the mandatory training.

Only one archer training date is being offered this year, and that is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Warsaw Police Department. New and former archers will be invited to qualify for the reduction efforts.

More information, forms and applications for any interested archers about the deer reduction program for 2019 may be obtained on the city website at warsaw.in.gov.

The Deer Task Force link is located within the Warsaw Police Department webpage. Those interested in the program will also find updated lines on the DTF archer application form; private landowner information and application; training date, times and tentative agendas; and a memo to interested archers wanting to participate in the program for 2019.

The task force’s official proposal will be presented to the common council in early September, according to Grose.
