WARSAW — The city of Warsaw is moving forward with plans to construct a new city part on the near west side.

The park would be adjacent to Gateway Grove, the new housing subdivision that is also next to the future YMCA campus.

The Times-Union reports Parks Superintendent Larry Plummer told the park board they’re moving in the right direction on the project.

Plummer said developer Cary Groninger, who is also a county commissioner, has pledged to donate the land — about a half acre — and cover the cost of playground equipment.
