Claypool woman facing child porn charges used someone else’s social media accounts

The Claypool woman arrested on child pornography charges allegedly used someone else’s social media accounts to download the items from the internet.

38-year-old Roselyn Burkhart of Claypool is facing two charges of child exploitation, level 4 felonies; child pornography, a level 5 felony; and child pornography, a level 6 felony.

In September, Indiana State Police trooper Eric Fields received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through Facebook of child pornography that was uploaded on June 19. He found that child pornography had been obtained from the internet by persons living at 107 N. Rebecca St., Claypool.

The pornography involved children “obviously under the age of 12”, according to the court documents.

After Fields identified the persons living at the home, he served a search warrant on Thursday.

Through interviews Fields determined that the pornography was on Roselyn Burkhart’s cellphone. She  gave consent for officers to search the phone and they found child pornography that included children involved in sexual conduct.

Court documents state Roselyn Burkhart admitted she downloaded the material from the internet to the KIK account of the man who also lived in the home. She then sent the downloaded images to her cellphone by using his Facebook Messenger.
