Concord School Issues Statement On Coach’s Threatening Tweet

Concord Schools has issued a statement about the high school golf coach suspended after allegedly posting a Tweet suggesting Memories Pizza be burned down. The statement reads the exchange of differing ideas, concepts, and principles is a meaningful part of the educational process and that it’s not necessary that everyone agree with every idea. But it is important and necessary that the expression of any idea meet  the minimum expectations established by federal and state laws, and that the promotion of illegal violence cannot be permitted. The School says coach Jessica Dooley  stepped outside that boundary, when she advocated for the burning down of the restaurant. The statement says Dooley admitted posting the Tweet. She continues to be suspended without pay. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office declined to initially file charges but they haven’t made a final decision yet, pending further investigation.
