One of our local representatives in Congress was on a GOP train that hit a garbage truck Wednesday morning.
The train was headed to West Virginia on a “policy retreat” when it encountered a garbage truck in the way. The train hit the truck, killing one person on the truck and seriously injuring another.
Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was not on the train, but fellow Republican Jim Banks and was. He checked in on Twitter after the crash.
Amanda and I are on the train carrying GOP members to our annual retreat that just had an accident. We are okay, but please join us in praying for those injured and their families.

Banks said that he and his wife Amanda were ok and asked for prayers for the victims on the truck.
