Cynthia Lee Tomblin

Cynthia Lee Tomblin, age 57 of Dewart Lake, Syracuse, passed away at home on March 17, 2023 at 9:06 a.m.

Born in Bremen on February 21, 1966, Cynthia was the daughter of Billy Bruce and Rosalie (Posey) Whitt. She spent her young adult life in Plymouth and Tennessee. From an early age, Cynthia learned the value of hardwork. When she was young, she worked for her father’s roofing company. Later she worked for Maple Leaf, SpartaCraft, Viatta and as a woodworker for Leesburg Furniture, among others.

Cynthia had a great faith in the Lord. She loved to sing and had a musical ministry for nearly 30 years. She had a heart for people and for service. She was a Sunday School teacher, enjoyed Christian music and liked watching a variety of faith-based programs on TV. In retirement, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Married to Lindsey Mitchell Tomblin on July 15, 1984, the pair shared more than 36 years together. Mitch survives at home. Also surviving are two children: Christopher Mitchell (Krista) Tomblin and Amber (Dustin Arnold) Tomblin; grandchildren: Alexander Tomblin, Iris Tomblin, Emberlynn Prater and Goldie Arnold; brothers, Wayne Whitt and Ricky Whitt and sister, Marsha Churchill. In addition several nieces and nephews survive: Courtney Hochstetler, Jordan Churchill and Shania Hochstetler.

She was preceded in passing by sister, Corena and granddaughter Jade Rose.
Titus Funeral Home – Owen Chapel, Syracuse is entrusted with Cynthia’s care. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, 2524 East Bowser Road, Syracuse.
