Day Of Prayer Planned In Winona Lake

Times Union – The annual Day of Prayer is May 5 at the Winona Heritage Room, formerly Rodeheaver Auditorium, in Winona Lake.
The event is at noon and the theme is “Wake Up America.” Dr. Roger Peugh will be the keynote speaker.
He has served the Lord since his high school days in Washington State. He and his wife, Nancy, served in Stuttgart, Germany, in a church planting ministry for 20 years. Since his return to the states in 1989, he has been teaching at Grace College and Seminary. He is co-author of the book “Transform In His Presence: The Role Of Prayer In Counseling.”
When he is not teaching, counseling and writing, he enjoys photography and his family including 14 grandchildren.
Prayer leaders include Derek Pike, education; Mayor Joe Thallemer, government; Matt Goebel, family; Jeff France, ministry and missions; Rev. Richard C. Maron, military; and Curt Hermann, business.
Music will be provided by the “Optimist Club Singers” led by Martin Becker. Millie Paxton will be at the piano.
