LEESBURG — Three Democrat candidates running for the Plain Township Advisory Board are urging constituents to attend budget sessions, including one on Tuesday night.
Robert Osbun, Rebecca Noftz and Brian Smith are coordinating their campaign efforts and have issued a news release under the name “Neighbors for Plain.”
They said they want Plain Township residents to know about two public hearings on the proposed 2027 budget.
Both hearings will be held at 34 E. Armstrong Road, Leesburg.
Tuesday’s meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and will focus on the proposed 2027 budget and public comment.
The second public hearing on Sept. 22 also starts at 5:30 p.m.
Residents are welcome at both hearings and may ask questions or comment on the
budget, the news release said.
The campaign of Noftz, Osbun, and Smith said they support accountability, access, and action.
“Taxpayers deserve clear information about proposed budgets, hearing dates, and the steps
required for approval. If elected, we will make that information easier to find and
understand so Plain Township residents can stay informed,” they said in a joint statement.
