Democrats cry foul over planned Walorski, Coleman debates

WABASH Democratic Congressional candidate Lynn Coleman finally is getting his wish…or is he?

After months of hounding from Coleman, Congresswoman Jackie Walorski has agreed to debate. The issue? It will be a radio debate at a station in Wabash, over an hour and a half drive from South Bend and Mishawaka. The radio debate will take place on November 1, originally reported by the Elkhart Truth.

Another issue leaving Democrat leaders upset is that the debate will take place in the far southeastern corner of the 2nd Congressional District and this particular debate is off-limits to the public.

The debate will take place at the Indiana Farm Bureau in Wabash, a group that endorses Walorski.

Michiana will get to see the two sides talk about the issues, but not to each other. WNIT in South Bend is hosting sit-down interviews with Walorski and Coleman. But, they will be pre-recorded and the two won’t ever see each other. It’s unknown when the interviews will air, according to the South Bend Tribune.
