The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office released details into the Thursday morning crash that involved four vehicles along US 30, east of Warsaw.

The report says 26-year old Joseph Arquette of Warren was westbound in his 2003 Dodge Stratus on US 30, when a deer crossed his path, leading Arquette to swerve. His vehicle then crossed the median and was then struck by a westbound 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by 58-year old Michael Mort of Warsaw. Both were taken to the hospital for complaints of pain.

A subsequent crash then happened when a 2008 Kia Sorento, driven by 35-year old Justin Penninger of Pierceton struck Arquette’s vehicle, moving his vehicle into the left lane of the eastbound lanes. After colliding with Arquette’s vehicle, Penninger’s car then struck an eastbound 2019 Honda Odyssey, driven by 33-year old Sean Alderfer of Warsaw. Neither of the two additional drivers involved in the second crash were taken from the scene by ambulance.
