Egg Festival begins for yearly tradition in Mentone

The Mentone Egg Festival begins Thursday. Its a yearly tradition in the city known as the “Egg Basket of the Midwest”.

It starts with the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Friday the festivities continue with entertainment for the whole family. The 24th annual car show is also on Friday, beginning at 4 p.m.

A parade kicks off Saturday’s fun at 11 a.m. The News Now Warsaw, WRSW, and Willie 103.5 vehicles will all be on display in the parade, driven by the on-air personalities.

The town also boasts a tourist attraction– a large concrete egg locally considered as the “Largest Egg in the World”.
