Police in Elkhart are asking for help in gaining tips and clues into the suspect they say robbed the Martin's Super Market on Nappannee Street in Elkhart. Investigators say the suspect entered the store around 6:15, Wednesday morning, and went to the customer service desk. He then showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money. No one was injured, but the suspect took cash and ran out the front door of the store. Once outside, he fled south, possibly to a waiting vehicle. Police describe the suspect as a black male, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-8 inches tall and weighing 150 to 170 pounds. The suspect was wearing all black clothing and a black mask.
