The Warsaw Community High School Theatre Department is proud to announce the return of its popular “A Magical Day”, from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the WCHS Performing Arts Center.

The event aims to treat children to the fully immersive magic of Disney, if only for a day, and serves as a fundraiser for the theatre department. It has been going on each year, with exception to the time during Covid, for nearly a decade.

Tickets are $15 per child, or two for $25. Accompanying adults are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 574-371-5040 or by visiting https://warsawperformingarts.vbotickets.com/events. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the event at the door.

Characters from Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” to Elsa from “Frozen,” and Cinderella to Darth Vader are due to make appearances at the event.

Children are encouraged to attend in costume, while meeting and interacting with their favorite characters from the movies. Theatre department students from WCHS will perform as the famous characters, and will take children on a journey through the wonderful world of Disney.

A photo booth will be available for all participants, as well as opportunities to take part in crafts, face painting, story time and more. The event will culminate with a free showing of the Disney Pixar film “Coco” at 3:30 p.m. The movie is open to the public, is being presented free of charge and will be shown on the large movie screen inside the Performing Arts Center.

Concessions will be sold throughout the event.
