June 2 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Kosciusko County Historical Society is excited
to announce the grand opening of the historic John
Pound Store 0n Sunday June 2 for the 2024 season.
Located in the heart of historic Oswego, the Pound
Store is the oldest commercial building in Kosciusko
County. Built in 1838 the store remained in the
Pound family until it was donated to the historical
society in the mid 1960’s. In addition to being a
general store, at various times the building also
served as the Oswego post office, and a gas station.
Today the building is preserved as a museum and
virtually represents a step back in time to a bygone
era. The Pound Store is open on Sunday afternoons
from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. June-Sept. In observance of
the grand opening, we will be serving hot dogs and
refreshments. There is no admission to the museum,
however donations are gratefully accepted. For
further information you can contact the Kosciusko
Historical Society at 574-269-1078.
