SUMMARY:Game Night for Alzheimer's Research
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to contribute to Alzheimer’s research? Come to the North Webster Public Library and learn about Stall Catchers\, a gamified program that lets you help researchers at Cornell University and the Human Computation Institute spot clogged blood vessels in mouse brains\, known as “stalls\,” that could indicate the presence of Alzheimer’s disease. Because this research is time consuming\, scientists depend on volunteers like you to lend them a hand. \nThe best part? No tough equations or mind-boggling formulas involved. Bring your laptop computer\, tablet\, or mobile device\, or use one of the library’s. How many stalls will you be able to catch? There will be prizes awarded for most stalls spotted\, and for most points earned! To learn more\, contact the library and ask for Amanda\, or visit www.stallcatchers.com to learn more and to get started! \nThis program is for ages 18 and over\, but kids and grandkids ages 13 and over might enjoy this activity\, too! Please register so we know how many participants to plan for. Register by calling the library at 574-834-7122.
