Farmer’s Almanac Could Be Inaccurate For Winter Predictions

As the 198-year-old Farmers’ Almanac predicts another harsh winter for the nation’s Midwest, a Ball State professor, says don't believe everything you read… And thank goodness, because the Almanac is darn near calling for Polar Vortex Part Two…  Ball State Geography Professor Petra Zimmermann says though the almanac was correct last year by forecasting a terrible winter, it did a poor job of predicting the mild winter we had three years ago. Zimmerman likens the Almanac's predictions to pure entertainment… similar to reading your horoscope. The Almanac, which goes on sale this week, calls for winter weather to be colder and wetter than normal for the majority of the nation east of the Rockies.
