An overnight fire in Warsaw has left the home’s occupant displaced and the family pet dead.

Plain Township Fire Department responded to the house fire at 418 W. River Chase Drive, Warsaw, at 1:15 a.m. Saturday and found the attached garage fully engulfed in flames, PTFD Lt. Joel Shilling said.

The home’s sole occupant was able to escape without injuries, but a dog died in the fire.  The property is owned by Chris Fuller and Pamela Sullivan.

Fire crews had the fire under control in a half hour and cleared the scene at 4:45 a.m., Shilling said.

Estimated damage wasn’t determined yet, but Shilling said he doesn’t believe the home is a total loss, but he’s not sure. The cause of the fire also is undetermined and is being investigated.

PTFD was assisted by Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Atwood Fire Department, Milford Fire Department, Lutheran EMS. The Red Cross was called to assist the home’s occupant.
