Firefighters Fight Fire At Unoccupied Home Over Weekend

The Leesburg Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 1058 Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw, at 12:15 a.m. Saturday. According to Fire Chief Mike Wilson, the fire was suspected to have started after lightning struck the home. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and was deemed a total loss. According to county records, the home is owned by Chester D. and Kathleen Clark, Whiting. The fire was under control within 45 minutes. Assisting at the scene were Warsaw, Pierceton and Milford fire departments.
