WINONA LAKE — Dr. John Davis, a former president at Grace College, passed away on Wednesday at Grace Village Health Care in Winona Lake at the age of 89.
Davis served as president of Grace College & Seminary in Winona Lake for seven years.
He was a professor of the Old Testament and Hebrew at Grace Theological Seminary for 39 years and was able to teach and preach in 45 different countries.
Davis also had a weekly column, “Outdoor Scene,” for the Times Union in Warsaw for 31 years.
Family and friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
His life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Grace Village Retirement Community in the Chapel, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, and officiated by Pastor Dave Robison.
A private family graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
