Former Granger tanning salon owner gets four years in prison for voyeurism

It’s four years in prison for a man who filmed his nude customers during spray-tan sessions at his Tiki Tan salon in Granger.

Albert Reasonover, 51, earned the sentence Wednesday. A judge sentenced him to 16 months each for each of the three victims, followed by a 30 month suspended sentence for an obstruction of justice charge, according to the South Bend Tribune.

A woman told the Mishawaka Police Department that Reasonover recorded a video of her without her consent while she was nude and receiving a spray tan administered by Reasonover on April 26 at the Granger Tiki Tan. She had recorded her own video in the spray tan booth, according to court documents.

Police investigating the case found the video Reasonover recorded of the woman on his phone April 26. They also found a video of a partially nude 17-year-old girl also recorded on April 26, about 30 minutes before the other woman was recorded. The 17-year-old girl told police she didn’t consent to being recorded, but she knew she had to be partially undressed for the spray tan at Tiki Tan.

Investigators identified a third victim in a video recorded in January. She also told police she knew she had to be at least partially nude for the spray tan but that she didn’t consent to being recorded.

While being interviewed by police, Reasonover admitted to recording all three women at the Granger Tiki Tan and to deleting photographs and videos from his cell phone, according to court documents. Investigators also said they had evidence that Reasonover deleted select text messages he sent and received before he was arrested.

He pleaded guilty in in September to three counts of voyeurism and one count of obstruction of justice.
